Lights, Camera, Reel Grrls! 2012


Calling all grrl filmmakers! Reel Grrls is seeking teen girls to tell their stories through video. Use professional quality cameras, learn Final Cut Pro editing software, and make basic stop-motion animation. Working in teams, you will complete a short film.

Open to young women ages 13-19. No previous video production experience necessary.

How to apply: Complete and submit the online registration form below. Then print and sign the Permission/Release Agreement and return it to Reel Grrls: 1409 21st Ave, Seattle WA 98122

Note: your application is not complete until you have submitted both the online form and the permission form!

Dates:
Tues, Jan 17, 6:00 PM: Family orientation
Sat, Jan 21, 10 AM - 4 PM: Program kick-off

Program meets on Tuesdays, 4:00 - 6:30 PM at Reel Grrls, Jan 24 - April 3
*no meeting on Tues, Feb 21 (mid-winter break)

And monthly on Saturdays: Jan 21, Feb 18, March 17

Who can apply:
Girls ages 13-19 of all video production experience levels.
Program fee:
$275. Pay-what-you-can. No one turned away due to lack of funds.
Deadline:
Tuesday, January 3, 2011.
