2012 RG Productions Apprenticeship Program
RG Productions Apprenticeship Program is now accepting applications! This unique program is offers advanced video production and leadership training for experienced youth. Working in small teams, apprentices gain resume-building production and post-production experience by creating client videos for local organizations. The apprenticeship also includes an orientation to filmmaking for clients, and an emphasis on key professional skills such as good communication, time management, client interfacing, troubleshooting and problem solving during all phases of production.
The hands-on video production work provides grrls with an opportunity to focus on skill building through intensive workshops, and one-on-one sessions with mentors, including professional filmmakers. On the program application, participants indicate their preference to specialize in Production (cinematography, directing) or Post-Production (editing, graphics). The Production Track includes enrollment in a week-long DSLR Cinematography workshop. The Post-Production Track includes enrollment in After Effects and Advanced Editing workshops.
